Mason Bays live at Cliff Bell’s

Jazz trumpeter Mason Bays, who started playing jazz in his high school band and studied jazz at Oakland University, brought his own ensemble to Cliff Bell’s. His band featured Colin McCahill on alto sax, Hayden Cusmano on guitar, Matthew Balos on piano, Jackson Stone on bass, Chris White on drums, and Roland Chandler on percussion. The evening had two shows, with doors opening for dinner at 4 p.m. and seating starting at 5 p.m. for the first show, and seating at 7 p.m. for the second. Mason has worked with notable musicians like Regina Carter and Scott Gwinnell and presented his band here for the first time.
