Neon Jungle

Neon Jungle is pianist and singer Jarrod Champion’s project, blending modern pop songs from the last few decades with the quirky styles of the mid-century modern era. The band taps into lounge, exotica, surf/spy, go-go, spaghetti western, and space age pop genres to filter favorite tunes through a retro lens while sprinkling in period originals. Jarrod, a Detroit native with nearly thirty years in the local music scene, brings his vast musical experience to the group. Alongside him were Brandon Reeves on drums, Sam Copperman on upright bass, Erik Alderink on guitar and pedal steel, Joshua James on saxophone, and lead vocalist Vanessa Cuccia. The show took place at Cliff Bell’s with a $25 admission.
