Alex Harding & Organ Nation

Alex Harding started young, studying with jazz greats like Yusef Lateef and Beans Bowles, and gigging with legends such as Donald Byrd and Wynton Marsalis before he even finished high school. Over the decades, he toured and recorded constantly, collaborating with a wide range of artists from the Sun Ra Arkestra to David Lee Roth. Born in Detroit, he began performing as a teenager and later moved to New York in the early ’90s, joining Julius Hemphill’s Saxophone Sextet and playing with other notable groups. He has multiple albums with pianist Lucian Ban and played in the Broadway production of FELA!!! before returning to Detroit. His concert at Cliff Bell’s with Organ Nation was part of his ongoing musical journey. Tickets were $25.
