Leafar Village

Rafael Leafar is a rare multi-instrumentalist known for combining passion, intellectual rigor, and spiritual fire that fuels his artistry. Born in Detroit, he grew up in a musical family deeply rooted in jazz and cultivated his craft through rigorous education and local music scenes, including the Detroit Civic Jazz Orchestra and New School for Jazz. Since 2009, he has worked with notable musicians like Reggie Workman and Marcus Belgrave. His show at Cliff Bell’s featured two performances starting at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., with dinner served from 5 p.m. Tickets were $25.
