Christopher L. Wilson Trio at Cliff Bell’s

Christopher L. Wilson was drawn to jazz by the freeing, bright sound of swing. He studied with Detroit legends like Bess Bonnier and Marcus Belgrave, deeply exploring the city’s rich musical heritage. At Michigan State University, he furthered his studies before performing in Los Angeles and Chicago and releasing two albums. His music is rooted in swing and bebop, especially the traditions of jazz piano trios. At Cliff Bell’s, he offered an attentive and engaging set that blends classic influences with fresh energy. Doors opened at 5 p.m. for dinner, with shows starting at 7:30 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m.
