Rodney Whitaker Quartet at Detroit Jazz Festival

Rodney Whitaker, director of Jazz Studies and professor at Michigan State University, is considered one of the leading jazz double bass performers and teachers in the U.S., with over 25 years of experience collaborating with legendary artists. He has appeared on more than 100 recordings and film scores. His two concerts at Cliff Bell’s during the Detroit Jazz Festival offered the audience a rich musical experience and surprise encounters throughout the evening.
