Thaddeus Tukes at Cliff Bell’s

Thaddeus Tukes, a Chicago-born jazz vibraphonist, composer, and percussionist, who has performed at Carnegie Hall and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, held two performances at Cliff Bell’s. A graduate of Whitney M. Young Magnet High School and Northwestern University, he’s known for keeping jazz vibrant on Chicago’s South Side through multigenerational jam sessions. Dinner began at 5 p.m., doors opened for the shows at 6:15 p.m. for the first and 9 p.m. for the second. Tukes has collaborated with artists like Victor Goines and Roy Hargrove.
