Roger L. Jones II has been a professional musician since 1989, with experience performing in the U.S., Japan, and Turkey. Growing up in church settings that nurtured his gospel roots, he moved into jazz inspired by legends like Miles Davis and John Coltrane. He further developed his craft at Oberlin Conservatory. At Cliff Bell’s, Roger and his band Higher Calling delivered fresh, soulful jazz that swings hard, blending modern styles with deep tradition. Doors opened at 5 for dinner before the shows at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.
