Irwin Hall Organ Trio

Irwin Hall started playing saxophone after winning it in a school lottery at age 9, and by 11 he was performing professionally, winning state and national awards. He studied East Asian philosophy at Princeton, then worked in Tokyo where jazz singer Melody Gardot hired him after hearing him perform. He toured internationally with her and later played with Grammy and Tony-winning vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater. Irwin has toured with several other acclaimed musicians and now leads two bands, including the Organ Trio. He also teaches music worldwide. The July 3 show at Cliff Bell’s had two seatings at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.
