Alexis Lombre Concert

Alexis Lombre grew up on Chicago’s South Side and developed a deep connection to music that moves the soul. Starting piano lessons at 10 with classical training, she soon shifted to jazz, inspired by artists like Art Blakey and Gene Harris. She trained with jazz greats including Willie Pickens and embraced learning jazz from elders at programs in Chicago. On this evening at Cliff Bell’s, she shared her rich musical heritage and heartfelt sound. Tickets sold for $20. The event already happened, but Alexis continues to be an artist to watch if you appreciate jazz with genuine feeling.
