DJANGOPHONIQUE is a band inspired by the Parisian Jazz Manouche style made famous by the legendary Sinti guitarist Django Reinhardt and his Quintette du Hot Club de France. While rooted in this rich and virtuosic tradition, the group brings the music into today with stunning improvisations, spirited interaction, and theatrical flair. Their set included hot swing, lush ballads, musette waltzes, jazz standards, boleros, and moody minor pieces, all performed with a sense of humor and lively showmanship.
