Bill Kirchen concert in Ann Arbor

Bill Kirchen, known for his signature Telecaster sound and a career spanning over five decades, performed at The Ark in Ann Arbor. Kirchen celebrated a musical heritage that blends rock ’n’ roll, blues, bluegrass, Texas Western swing, and California honky-tonk. The concert included new material as well as selections from his storied past, accompanied by Rick Richards and Jack Saunders from Texas, delivering a full honky-tonk rock’n’roll experience. Throughout his career, Kirchen has collaborated with artists such as Nick Lowe, Doug Sahm, Gene Vincent, Elvis Costello, and Emmylou Harris. Known to occasionally include Bob Dylan songs in his sets, he also shared hometown stories during the performance.
