David Cook, winner of the seventh season of American Idol, broke several Billboard records with 14 songs appearing on the Hot Digital Songs chart and 11 on the Hot 100. Over his career, he has sold more than two million albums worldwide, including platinum-certified releases. In April 2022, he released the single "TABOS" (This'll All Be Over Soon), coinciding with his return to the American Idol stage for its 20th anniversary reunion. In July 2024, he released "Dead Weight," co-written with longtime collaborator Andy Skib.
