Sunday Brunch with Jarrod Champion

Jarrod Champion is a self-taught pianist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist from a Detroit suburb, born to two trained pianist parents. Starting in rock and roll, Jarrod expanded into Detroit’s jazz, blues, and traditional country/folk scenes, identifying strongly with early New Orleans jazz, blues, and soul, while keeping the smoky, bar-room romanticism he’s known for. He’s played in many Detroit-area bands and toured nationally and internationally. An active live and studio musician, Jarrod composes for stage, film, and video, leads his own ensembles across genres, and regularly performs at top jazz, blues, and rock venues in and around Detroit.
