Ron English, a respected Detroit guitarist and composer, brought his stellar crew to Cliff Bell’s to perform selections from his new album Dance/Cry/Dance. The evening blended rhythmic grooves and melodic storytelling, spotlighting English’s decades-spanning musical journey—from reimagined classics like those by the Lyman Woodard Organization to fresh originals. Joined by pianist Glenn Tucker, drummer Leonard King, and others, the group delivered a rich, layered sound.
