First Wednesdays in Eastern Market

Eastern Market is the nation’s largest historic public market and a beloved Detroit destination, drawing thousands of visitors on Saturdays, Sundays, and Tuesdays. The First Wednesdays series brings a similar vibrant open-air experience to Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 PM during the summer months. Participating vendors include Cutter’s Bar & Grill, Detroit City Distillery, Eastern Market Brewing Company, and others. The gatherings offer a blend of music, culinary offerings, drinks, and art that contribute to the distinctive character of Eastern Market. This program runs from July through September 2026, enlivening the district midweek with a variety of cultural and gastronomic experiences.
