Piano Wednesdays: Aris Chalin Piano Duo
Award-winning jazz pianist and keyboardist Aris Chalin brings his piano duo to Blue LLama Jazz Club in Ann Arbor on Wednesday, January 20, with sets at 7 and 8 p.m. It's a good pick for dinner or date night, and you can reserve a table.
Aris Chalin is a jazz pianist and keyboardist based in southeast Michigan. His music pushes at the boundaries between genres while staying true to the soul of jazz. His newest single, "Constellations," made with producer Eyan Kills, mixes electronic, funk and ambient textures.
His influences run from Oscar Peterson to Parliament to Pink Floyd. He has played Blue LLama, Dabney and Co., Merriman's Playhouse and the North American International Auto Show at Cobo Center in Detroit. He also partners with Expressive E on its Osmose keyboard, bringing it to live shows.
Piano Wednesdays pairs the music with the full dinner menu and wine specials by the glass and bottle.
