Karaoke Night Contest
Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant hosts a karaoke contest on Friday, November 20, from 6 to 11 p.m. Open mic warm-up starts at 6, the contest kicks off at 8, and local celebrity judges score the singers.
Open Mic Karaoke runs from 6 to 8 p.m., so you can warm up your voice. The contest starts at 8 p.m. and is limited to the first 20 performers, first come, first served. Registration closes at 8 p.m. You can sing once a week unless you make the Top 3.
Local celebrity judges score entertainment value, song choice, staying on track with the music, pitch accuracy and other vocal and performance qualities. The Top 3 each sing a second song, then 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are named. In case of a tie, the DJ picks an extra song for the tied singers. The judges' decisions are final.
The contest runs every Friday in November at the Creekside Lounge at Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel.
