Karaoke Night Contest
Karaoke night kicks off Friday, November 6, at 6 p.m. at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, with open mic first and a singing contest at 8 p.m. Only the first 20 performers get on the contest stage.
Warm up with open mic karaoke from 6 to 8 p.m., then the contest runs from 8 to 11 p.m. The first 20 performers get in, spots go first come, first served, and registration closes at 8 p.m.
Local celebrity judges score each performance and pick a Top 3 for the final round, where each finalist sings a second song. Judges look at entertainment value, song choice, staying on track with the music, pitch accuracy and overall performance. Ties get settled with an extra song picked by the DJ, and the judges' decisions are final.
The contest runs every Friday in November in the Creekside Lounge. You can enter once a week unless you make the Top 3.
