George Bedard Tribute to T-Bone Walker and Early Soul

George Bedard, a key figure in Michigan's roots rock scene, presented his annual “History of American Music” show focusing on T-Bone Walker, the pioneering electric blues guitarist and singer. The concert also explored early soul music from artists like Sam Cooke, Solomon Burke, and Wilson Pickett. Bedard was joined on stage by Ann Arbor’s own Al Hill on keyboards and vocals, drummer Richard Dishman, bassist Pat Prouty, and special guests Chris Smith on trumpet and Keith Kaminski on saxophone. The event took place on Saturday, August 17, at 8 p.m. at The Ark, located at 316 S. Main in Ann Arbor. Tickets were $30.
