Nora Brown with Stephanie Coleman

Nora Brown and Stephanie Coleman first connected within Brooklyn’s close-knit old-time music scene in 2017, forging a strong musical partnership despite their 20-year age gap. Stephanie is a seasoned old-time fiddler with two decades of international tours and recordings alongside artists like Uncle Earl, Andrew Marlin, and Adam Hurt. The duo has played major festivals including Philadelphia Folk Festival and Copenhagen’s Roskilde Festival. They recorded together on Nora’s 2019 debut album Cinnamon Tree, recently released a new EP called Lady of the Lake, and performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk. Their show at The Ark celebrated the rich, live sound of traditional American roots music.
