Jared Deck Band

Praised by Alejandro Escovedo for his powerful, beautiful voice, Jared Deck grew up on an Oklahoma farm, working fields and his parents' grocery store, then on oilfields and in factories. During the Great Recession, he worked as a pianist in a Black church for six years, earning an exceptional musical education. His songs tell honest stories about Midland America, with “The American Dream” winning first place at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival songwriting contest. At The Ark, he presented his new album “Head Above Water.”
