Lake Street Dive
Grammy-nominated band Lake Street Dive plays Friday, March 19, at 7 p.m. at the Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit, touring their new album What About Flamingos? Tickets are $51.50.
The album is the band's ninth and first independent release, and their first recorded live in a room together. It was Rachael Price's idea, since fans have said for years that they love the live shows best.
They worked with two producers on opposite coasts: Philip Weinrobe in New York and Jonathan Wilson in Los Angeles. The title track is about everyday wonders and twenty-two years of making music with friends.
$1 from every ticket sold goes to World Central Kitchen, which provides meals during crises, along with organizations that help children around the world. AEG Live is the promoter.
