Lizzie No at The Ark in Ann Arbor

Lizzie No is a New York-based singer-songwriter, harpist, and guitarist known as one of the freshest voices in contemporary indie folk. Her 2017 debut album, “Hard Won,” was praised by Billboard as both understated and passionate. The 2019 album “Vanity” gained significant airplay on college radio nationwide and landed on the NACC Top Adds Chart. Rolling Stone called her first single, “Narcissus,” a crisp alt-rock gem you need to know. Since then, she’s released a second album and a surprise home-studio EP. At this show, she brought songs from her new album, “Halfsies,” to The Ark stage. Lizzie has toured with artists like Iron & Wine and performed at festivals including Newport and South by Southwest. Classical versions of her songs have been performed by orchestras, showing her wide musical appeal. This concert was a great chance to see her distinctive sound live.
