The tour shows how the honorees and their organizations are making a real impact across the region. You begin at TechTown, then head out to four stops.

At the recently restored Lee Plaza, you'll hear about historian Dan Austin's work and the affordable housing the building will provide. At Curtis Jones Park, part of Northwest Goldberg Cares, Laura Grannemann talks about driving systemic change through investments large and small, and Jeremiah Steen explains how he works to make young people influential players in city institutions. At the Henry Ford Future of Health Development in New Center, Bob Riney shares his vision for health care and you'll learn how Henry Ford partnered with Grannemann and the Gilbert Family Foundation to create the Nick Gilbert Neurofibromatosis Research Institute.

Lunch follows the tour. It's presented by the Metropolitan Affairs Coalition, the Detroit Free Press and the City Institute.
