Unique light displays fill the grounds of Meadow Brook Estate, and you explore them at your own pace. The National Historic Landmark on the Oakland University campus gets fully decked out for the season. Expect music, seasonal and specialty drinks, selfie stations, bonfires and food trucks. You can also add a tour of part of the decorated interior of Meadow Brook Hall.

Entry times are 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. It goes on rain, snow or shine. Parking is free and a shuttle runs during the show. The estate closes daily from 4 to 5:30 p.m. to reset the tour route between the daytime Holiday Walk and the evening light show.

Matilda Dodge Wilson built the Hall between 1926 and 1929, and it's one of America's finest examples of Tudor-revival architecture.
