The 2026 Lo-Fi Slam is a two-round poetry battle with a cash prize on the line. Multi-hyphenated artist La Shaun phoenix Moore hosts, and a pre-selected panel of judges picks three winners. The program runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Any teen in the Metro Detroit area can compete, but you must register ahead of time. There is no day-of sign-up. Everyone else can just show up, cheer, snap, and show love to the next wave of Detroit storytellers.
