Drop Dead! is a play within a play: a doomed potboiler murder mystery, from final dress rehearsal to opening night. Has-been divas and green newcomers are all betting their careers on it, under director Victor LePewe, the self-styled Wonder Child of the Broadway Stage, who is really an eye-twitching megalomaniac.

In Act One, actors drop lines, run into scenery and botch sound cues while cast and crew keep turning up murdered. In Act Two the killings continue, and the survivors have to save the show, solve the mystery and stay alive until the final curtain. Expect hysterical lines and plenty of slapstick.

Presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
