Charlene Kaye in Diversity Shredder
Guitarist and viral comedian Charlene Kaye brings her new musical show Diversity Shredder to Go Comedy! Improv Theater in Ferndale on Sunday, November 15, at 5 p.m. Tickets are available online.
Rolling Stone called Kaye a "breakout comedy star," and her video "Every Taylor Swift Song" has passed 100 million views. Her previous show, Tiger Daughter, presented by Margaret Cho, sold out runs at Edinburgh Fringe 2024 and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2025.
Diversity Shredder is a madcap musical about being a menace to society as an Asian woman guitar shredder. It tours her musical life, from her folk singer-songwriter beginnings to the wizard rock band Team StarKid and gender-flipped cover bands like Guns N' Hoses and Labiahead. Expect big laughs, and you might pick up a few things about how music works.
