Peter Madcat Ruth’s 75th Birthday Celebration Concert

Over more than 60 years, Peter Madcat Ruth's music evolved from early 1960s folk and blues in the Chicago area, through studying harmonica with Big Walter Horton, to joining progressive rock bands in Ann Arbor in the ‘70s. He toured worldwide with jazz pianist Dave Brubeck and later blended folk, blues, rock, and jazz as a solo artist and in the duo Madcat & Kane. His 75th birthday concert featured the C.A.R.Ma. Quartet with John Churchville on tabla, Brennan Andes on bass, and guitarist Dan Ripke, along with special guests Rachael Davis, Seth Bernard, and Nashville harmonica virtuoso Buddy Greene. The show offered a rich mix of blues, folk, and jazz in the heart of Ann Arbor.
