Liquor & Lore: Colonial Christmas

Cocktail historian Beth Vandergrift leads a holiday cocktail class on Thursday, December 3, at 6:30 p.m. at The War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms. You'll mix drinks from early America, including some founding father favorites. Tickets are $90.

In the historic Reception Room, you'll make three different cocktails. For each one, Beth demonstrates the technique, you craft your own, and then everyone sips together while she shares the stories behind the spirit and the season. Each drink is paired with a light bite from the War Memorial's culinary team.

You leave with all the recipes and know-how to recreate the drinks at home.

All ticket buyers must be 21+. Drinks may contain dairy; if you need a dairy-free option, leave a note when you reserve. Menu substitutions can't be made.
