Rachael Kilgour

We first met Rachael Kilgour as one half of the duo Sound an Echo, then saw her in the Family Room during the pandemic. She’s a Minnesotan songwriter praised for sincere, brave lyrics, winner of contests like NewSong and Kerrville New Folk, and has performed at Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center. Rachael’s music chronicles her life experiences, including young marriage in a same-sex partnership and personal losses like her father’s death. This performance was part of The Ark’s Artist Spotlight Series, presented live and streamed with free admission; donations of nonperishable food were accepted for Food Gatherers.
