The afternoon starts at 1 p.m. with interactive TEDxLabs showing off Detroit businesses, technology and creativity. Talks follow in the Marygrove Theatre, wrapping up before 5 p.m.

The 53-acre campus dates back to 1905 and now works as a cradle-to-career education and community hub. The theatre holds only 400 people, so grab a ticket early. Early-bird tickets are $30 and go up to $50 the week of the event, subject to availability.
