Wood-Fired Sauna at Belle Isle Beach
SOMi Sauna's wood-fired cedar sauna trailer sits on the sand at Detroit's Belle Isle Beach on Saturday, November 28, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the skyline across the river. A 75-minute session costs $29.50.
SOMi Sauna parks its cedar trailer on the sand just west of the Beach House. Seventy-five-minute sessions start every 90 minutes, with ten seats each. Rotate between the 180-205°F hot room, a dip in the Detroit River, or a chair out in the open air.
Bring a swimsuit, towel, sandals and plenty of water. Sessions are for adults 18 and over, everyone signs a waiver, and the crew asks you to come sober. Sessions run in any weather, and parking in the beach lot is free. Book 3+ weeks ahead for 20% off, or 11+ days ahead for 10% off.
