Lexie Blue
Three-time Michigan Music Award winner Lexie Blue plays a blues set on Thursday, October 29, at 8 p.m. at Aretha's Jazz Café at Music Hall in Detroit. Recent competition wins and a deep, soulful voice make this a solid pick for blues fans.
Detroit’s Lexie Blue brings her blues to Aretha’s Jazz Café. She’s a three-time Michigan Music Award winner, voted Best Blues Artist by Detroit Channel 4’s Vote 4 The Best in 2019 and 2022, won the Capital Area Blues Society’s 2023 blues competition in Lansing, and took the 2024 Grand Rapids Blues Competition for the West Michigan Blues Society. Expect a rich, soulful delivery across aching ballads and high-energy tunes.
She’s opened for Tab Benoit, Derek St. Holmes, Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad), Anthony Gomes, Coco Montoya, and Night Ranger. An intimate room and a commanding voice—good combo for a Detroit blues night.
