Evelyn’s Midtown Kitchen – The Cookie Lab

Step into The Cookie Lab, an interactive dessert event where science meets indulgence. A chef led a detailed live demonstration focusing on cookie techniques, especially the art of baking French macarons with the perfect crisp edges and gooey centers. Participants learned practical baking methods to elevate their home baking confidence. Each attendee received a beautifully packaged gourmet cookie gift box with Italian lemon pistachio, white chocolate raspberry, s’mores, and caramel coconut chocolate chip cookies, plus recipe cards and chef insights. The class was kept cozy with 12-20 students, lasted about 1.5 hours, and took place at Eastern Market’s Shed 5. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes were recommended, and hygiene was emphasized. The event has passed but is a great example of the hands-on experiences Evelyn’s Midtown Kitchen offers.
