Evelyn’s Midtown Kitchen – Chinese Favorites

During the class, attendees learned how to make crispy honey sesame chicken coated in a sweet and savory glaze, followed by mastering lucky lo mein noodles using wok stir-frying techniques with vegetables and sauces. The session also focused on proper heat control and seasoning while preparing wok fried rice. To finish, participants baked light and crisp Chinese almond cookies. Students worked in groups of four, spent about two to two and a half hours actively cooking, and enjoyed a friendly, hands-on experience in a class size of about 12 to 20 people at Eastern Market’s Shed 5. Hygiene and safety standards were carefully maintained throughout the session.
