Hair
Wayne State University Theatre and Dance stages the rock musical Hair on Sunday, April 25, at 3 p.m. at the Hilberry Gateway in Detroit. Expect sixties counterculture and songs like "Aquarius" and "Let The Sunshine In." Tickets are available online.
Hair celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory. An infectiously energetic rock beat drives songs like "Aquarius," "Good Morning, Starshine," "Hair," "I Got Life" and "Let The Sunshine In."
The show digs into identity, community, global responsibility and peace, and asks what it means to be young in a changing world. It still feels current today.
The performance is at 4715 Cass Avenue in Detroit.
