Hair
Wayne State University Theatre and Dance stages the American tribal love rock musical Hair on Thursday, April 22, 2027, at 7 p.m. at the Hilberry Gateway in Detroit. Expect sixties counterculture, big rock energy and "Aquarius"; tickets are available online.
Hair celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed glory. An infectiously energetic rock beat drives songs like "Aquarius," "Good Morning, Starshine," "I Got Life" and "Let The Sunshine In."
The show digs into identity, community, global responsibility and peace, and what it means to be young in a changing world. It's a time capsule that still resonates today.
The Hilberry Gateway is at 4715 Cass Avenue in Detroit.
