Hair
Wayne State University Theatre and Dance stages the tribal love rock musical Hair on Thursday, April 15, at 7 p.m. at the Hilberry Gateway in Detroit, on Cass Avenue. Expect "Aquarius," "Let The Sunshine In" and a full dose of sixties counterculture. Tickets are available online.
Hair celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory. An infectiously energetic rock beat drives songs like "Aquarius," "Good Morning, Starshine," "Hair," "I Got Life" and "Let The Sunshine In."
The show digs into identity, community, global responsibility and peace, and what it means to be young in a changing world. It still feels as relevant as ever.
