Hair
Wayne State University Theatre and Dance stages the rock musical Hair on Wednesday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at the Hilberry Gateway in Detroit. Expect sixties counterculture and big songs like "Aquarius." Tickets are available online.
Hair celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory. The score includes "Aquarius," "Good Morning, Starshine," "Hair," "I Got Life" and "Let The Sunshine In."
The show digs into identity, community, global responsibility and peace, and asks what it means to be young in a changing world. It's billed as a time capsule that still resonates today.
You'll find it at the Hilberry Gateway, 4715 Cass Avenue, Detroit.
