Hair
Wayne State University Theatre and Dance stages the tribal love rock musical Hair on Friday, April 9, 2027, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hilberry Gateway in Detroit. If you love sixties counterculture and big singalong songs, this one delivers. Tickets are available online.
Hair celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory. An energetic rock beat drives songs like "Aquarius," "Good Morning, Starshine," "I Got Life" and "Let The Sunshine In."
The show digs into identity, community, global responsibility and peace, and what it means to be young in a changing world. It plays like a time capsule that still resonates. The Hilberry Gateway is at 4715 Cass Avenue.
