Six Black students were initially charged with attempted murder after a school fight, following nooses hung from a tree on campus. This ensemble drama takes its story from the Jena Six case.

Dominique Morisseau, the writer behind Sunset Baby, Detroit '67 and Skeleton Crew, looks at miscarriages of justice, racial double standards, strained relations between men and women of all classes, and the shaken state of Black family life. The Hilberry Gateway is at 4715 Cass Avenue in Detroit.

The production is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
