The Old Man and the Old Moon
Wayne State University Theatre and Dance stages The Old Man and the Old Moon on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Hilberry Gateway in Detroit. An imaginative sea-faring epic with storms, leviathans, and cantankerous ghosts. Tickets available.
The Old Man has spent a lifetime tending the moon—until the Old Woman is pulled away by a mysterious melody that stirs their shared past. He chooses love and adventure over routine, launching a sea-going quest packed with apocalyptic storms, civil wars, deep-sea leviathans, cranky ghosts, and the toughest foe of all: change.
