Blackthorn
Blackthorn, members of the Michigan Irish American Hall of Fame, plays The Ark in Ann Arbor on Saturday, December 19, 2026, at 8 p.m. Expect a multi-instrument Celtic set drawn from deep Irish traditions. Tickets are $29; online/phone prices include MUTO fees, or buy at The Ark box office with no added fees.
Blackthorn takes you on a musical ramble across Ireland: emigration songs, ballads, shanties, and lively jigs and reels alongside contemporary Irish favorites. The band’s sound comes from serious instrumental firepower—flute, accordion, tin whistle, fiddle, banjo, cittern, bodhrán, and more—topped by Belfast native Richard McMullan’s lead vocal and tight four-part harmonies.
Ticket note: website and phone orders show all-in pricing that includes MUTO’s processing fee; in-person purchases at The Ark box office have no added fees.
