Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert
The Detroit Symphony Orchestra plays John Williams' Oscar-winning score live while the full film A New Hope runs on screen, Sunday, June 27, at 3 p.m. at Orchestra Hall in Detroit. Tickets run $54 to $134.
The first Star Wars film hits differently when the orchestra is right there on stage playing every note while the complete movie plays overhead. Luke Skywalker leaves quiet Tatooine behind, teams up with Obi-Wan Kenobi, helps rescue Princess Leia, and faces Darth Vader.
The concert is part of the DSO Presents series, presented under license from Disney Concerts. Tickets are available online.
