The program opens with the playful energy of Lili Boulanger's Of a Spring Morning. Then Zoltán Fejérvári takes on Bartók's serene Third Piano Concerto, bringing the lilt of his native Hungarian. Edward Gardner, acclaimed for his Stravinsky, returns to the DSO for a Firebird full of danger and precision.

This concert is part of the PVS Classical series. A 30-minute pre-concert talk is held an hour before most performances, with general admission seating in Orchestra Hall, so you can try a different seat than your ticket's.
