The night opens with the playful energy of Lili Boulanger's Of a Spring Morning. Then Zoltán Fejérvári sits down at the piano for Bartók's serene Third Piano Concerto, bringing the lilt of the Hungarian language he shares with the composer. After that, Edward Gardner, acclaimed for his Stravinsky, returns to the DSO to conduct Firebird.

This concert is part of the PVS Classical series. An hour before the start, a 30-minute pre-concert talk at Orchestra Hall digs into the music and the stories behind it. Seating for the talk is general admission, so you can try a different spot than your ticket.

You can also watch the concert online, live, on March 13 at 8 p.m. ET via the Live from Orchestra Hall site, YouTube or Facebook.
