The night opens with Lili Boulanger's playful Of a Spring Morning. Then pianist Zoltán Fejérvári brings Bartók's serene Third Piano Concerto to life, with the lilt of the Hungarian language they share.

Edward Gardner, acclaimed for his Stravinsky, returns to the DSO to conduct Firebird.

A 30-minute pre-concert talk starts one hour before the performance, with general admission seating in Orchestra Hall. It's a good excuse to try a different section. This concert is part of the PVS Classical series.
