Where to stay in Detroit?
652 places to stay and 38,472 rooms across Detroit, the suburbs and Michigan’s favorite weekend towns. Tell us what brings you here and we’ll show you where to sleep.
A game, a show, a convention or a dawn flight? Pick one and we line up the hotels: downtown by walking minutes, on an aerial photo with the walking rings.
Packages straight from the hotels’ own sites: game days, theater nights, park and fly. We gathered them in one place so you don’t have to click around.
An 11-room eco lodge in Midtown's Cass Corridor, inside an 1898 apartment building: rooftop “urban cabins” with balconies, breakfast and gated parking included.
A three-room, adults-only (21+) bed and breakfast in an 1870 Brush Park house, owned and run by Black women. All three downtown stadiums are a short walk.
Four Victorian mansions and a carriage house on Midtown's East Ferry Avenue, a block from the Detroit Institute of Arts: 33 one-of-a-kind rooms, and your dog can come too.
A nine-room historic inn in a 1902 Tudor Revival mansion on East Jefferson at the edge of Indian Village, with hot breakfast, free parking and Belle Isle minutes away.
A small hospital inn on the Trinity Health Ann Arbor campus in Ypsilanti for patients' family and friends, linked to the hospital by indoor corridors, with free parking.
An 1880s Queen Anne Victorian right behind the Purple Rose Theatre, the only lodging within walking distance of downtown Chelsea's shops and restaurants.
An adults-only, 18-room luxury bed-and-breakfast right on the Lake Huron beach in Oscoda, with private outdoor hot tubs and breakfast brought to your room.
A gay-owned B&B for couples in downtown Saugatuck: two garden cottages and two suites in ship captain Reuben Rogers' old house, each with a fireplace, private bath and a kitchen stocked with breakfast.
A luxury bed-and-breakfast in a historic house in downtown Saugatuck: 14 one-of-a-kind rooms with no TVs, farm-to-table breakfast, an afternoon wine hour, and guests 16 and up only.
A historic harbor-front inn at the east end of downtown Mackinac Island, built around fur trader Magdelaine La Framboise's old home and fully renovated for the 2026 season.
An 1885 Victorian mansion on the St. Clair River just north of downtown Marine City, a B&B since 1991. It was listed for sale in 2022, and its status now is unclear.
A queer-owned, cannabis-friendly “bud and breakfast” in northwest Detroit's Bagley neighborhood, open since 2019 with women, femmes and queer travelers in mind. Its website is down, so we couldn't confirm it's still taking guests.

Grand ballrooms, a radio studio on the roof, jazz in the basement: some of the city’s great hotels still stand, others live on only in photos. The Green Book tag marks the places where Black travelers could stay safely during segregation.
On the hotel’s own site your deal is with the hotel itself, and Quarter Detroit reader perks only work there.
02
Count in parking
At most downtown hotels parking costs extra, and many only offer valet. When we know the price, it’s on the hotel’s page.
03
Book early on game days
If you’re coming on a Tigers, Lions or Red Wings day or for a big concert, the rooms around the stadiums go first. Check Events to see what’s on in town.
04
You can skip the car
The People Mover and the QLINE streetcar are free, and most downtown hotels are a few minutes’ walk from a stop. Each hotel page shows the nearest one.

A free listing, a book-direct button, reader vouchers, your packages in the spotlight and a “What’s on near us” widget for your own site.
We gathered and checked these places from the hotels’ own sites and public sources (September 30, 2026). Nobody can buy a better spot in the list; anything marked “Sponsored” is a paid feature. Spotted a mistake? Write to hello@quarterdetroit.com.
